It was high season but we were able to book on the same day. There were many people on the river during the tour, but the guide led us around without stress.

I didn't have to paddle hard, so even as a canoeing novice, I was able to participate easily. It was nice to spend time at my own pace and let nature take its course.
white sandy beach
It was very helpful that he informed us in advance that we should bring a towel because the canoe tends to get wet where we sit. The guide was friendly and the stories about Ishigaki Island were interesting.
bird's-eye view
It was raining a little, but thanks to that I did not get sunburned too much. The moment it cleared up, the mangroves were a beautiful green color, which added to the jungle feeling.

It was my first time on Ishigaki Island, so the day-before notice was very helpful. When I told them it was my first time canoeing, they gave me detailed instructions. I felt like I was exploring the mangroves as there were open areas and places where we could just barely get through by canoe.

My son, who is always into games, enjoyed paddling the paddle when we got in the canoe. The female guide also answered all of my son's questions.

Since it was in a canoe, I could experience the nature of the mangroves without worrying about falling into the river. It was a happy time for me to face nature, which I usually tend to forget.

The guide was very interesting and I wanted to listen to his explanation all the time. It was a quiet river and I was happy that he took lots of pictures of the canoe.

The weather was not so good and it was difficult, but the tour guide told us a lot of fun stories in the car regardless of the weather.
I was very excited! Once in the mangroves, the rain didn't bother me so much, but rather the atmosphere was more like it.

I had already seen the Miyara River from the bridge on my way from the airport to the city center, but I wanted to do an activity since I had come all the way here.
The canoeing was a breeze. It was good that they took breaks at various places!
We were dropped off and picked up at our hotel. They are fun to drive. Thanks to them, I was not bored.

My boyfriend and I went canoeing together! At first we had a hard time keeping our breath, but if we paddled slowly, it was no problem.

I had an image of mangroves in the Amazon, so I didn't know it was possible to experience them in Japan.
The water was salty like sea water, the leaves were full of salt, and they told us many unique stories!

It's a good time to be able to reach the jungle so far from the plane with just one line! It became my favorite place I visited in Ishigaki Island!

I happened to receive a pamphlet and applied for the tour. The Miyara River was quiet and the canoe itself was stable, so even my mother, who was over 60 years old, was fine. Everything was new to me, so I was very impressed with the scenery. I am grateful to the guide who was kind and helpful even outside of the tour itself (from pick-up to drop-off).

We used this site as a family during spring break. My daughter was new to canoeing, but the instructor, Mr. Matsuda, took the time to teach her. Even though it was early spring in Honshu, it already felt hot and sweaty in Ishigaki Island. It was great to be able to play competitively with the whole family. I felt like I could go back to my childhood for the first time in a while. Thank you very much, Mr. Matsuda.

Due to the weather, we had to change our plan to river canoeing in the mangroves. It was a strong wind that day, but in the mangroves the wind died down quickly. Canoeing itself was very easy and I mastered it very quickly. It's a pity that I couldn't do it in the ocean, but it gave me an excuse to come back to Ishigaki Island. It was a fun plan even in the mangrove.

It was a tour to explore the forest. The tong tong mee, a creature that jumps around, was very cute and my favorite part of the tour. The guide was very nice and made our time enjoyable. If I have a chance to come to Ishigaki Island again, I will definitely play with Pipi-san.
yanar (Ainu oral saga)
Even though I am a city person who does not sweat, I was sweating a lot at the end of the tour! Asa-chan's knowledge of nature and the features of Ishigaki Island
He was very happy to talk to me while taking pictures!

There were white herons, which I don't usually see. I had never signed up for something like this before, but I didn't want to miss out. They teach you a lot of things that are not in the tourist books. The car is also full of fun stories. I would like to visit their sister store next time because I think they have one in Iriomote Island.
Whopper.
I was hooked on the Yaeyama Islands. I had no idea that there were islands so rich in water and nature. Ike's guiding was the most fun I have ever had.
pikmin
I felt the great nature with my whole body and made new discoveries because I could not see the plant life in detail on a sightseeing board.

It reminded me of my childhood. Ishigaki Island is a wonderful place where I can go back to my childhood when I was so excited.

The pick-up service was easy and appreciated. The canoeing is really fast if you are in sync with your breath. We didn't have time to take pictures by ourselves, but our guide took a lot of pictures for us. There was no need to bring a camera!

I enjoyed listening to the guide talk about mangroves at a leisurely pace. It was a great tour, with entertainment and a glimpse of culture. There were several guides and they were all very kind. Personally, I was impressed by that. It was a pleasant tour without being "island-like" in the bad sense of the word.

Before we started kayaking, there were a lot of holes in the ground, and it was cute to see crabs flopping out of them. The kayak was easy to go forward and stop, and it was a relaxing less than 2 hours. The guide was very knowledgeable and I felt that he must have studied on a regular basis.
Hey, koachan.
I decided to try river kayaking as a challenge on my 60th birthday. I thought it would be reckless, but the mangroves blocked the wind, so the kayak did not sway and was rather stable. I thought I could do it and paddled smoothly.
town child
It was a trip for three of us, my son (4th grade), my daughter (1st grade), and myself. I was running a little late, but our guide, Mr. Kobayashi, told me, "It's okay to take it slow. My son and daughter were very excited.
jasmine tea
I had no physical strength at all, but the guide always kept my mind occupied with trivia about the mangroves and knowledge of wild birds during breaks and breaks during the kayaking.
uncleanliness
I always go to Okinawa every year, but this is my first time kayaking in the mangroves. It is like the world of Ghibli.
powdered green tea (steamed and dried before being stone-ground)
My son and daughter's first time in Okinawa was on Ishigaki Island. They enjoyed playing with the mangrove trees that had fallen into the river, calling them octopus sausage winners.
five-panel comic strip (TV series, anime, manga, etc.)
I did not expect to see mangroves so close. I had never seen fish flapping and crabs clicking, as I usually do when I'm stuck behind a computer in Tokyo.
Red Mask
I was surprised to see bats sleeping, perhaps because it was a morning tour! The sound of the water was so soothing.

In the middle of Golden Week, a family of six took a canoe tour on the river.
We proceeded down the river into the mangroves, listening to the loud cicadas.
Mr. Kobayashi's explanation of the mangroves was full of "I see".
I was just impressed by the flowers and ecology, which is completely different from what I usually see.
It was a quick hour, but unlike my usual tiredness, I felt a sense of fulfillment.
My 3-year-old son wanted to try paddling too, and he did his best with a small child's paddle.

Mr. Glasses
I made an appointment 3 hours before the day of the event and they were very courteous and helpful!
It was very comfortable to paddle the canoe in the mangrove and we had a wonderful morning!
I was impressed by Mr. Hamashima's interesting talk about Ishigaki Island and his knowledge of nature and flowers.
The canoeing allowed me to enjoy the scenery and nature around me! Next time I would like to join the night tour!

MIii.
The sun was quite bright during the tour, so it is better to have a big hat!
winter beauty
I guess we were halfway through the tour or there were no other tours,
I was alone with my guide.
I felt like I was getting a lot out of the tour because I could ask all the detailed questions about birds and plants, which I couldn't always ask on a tour.

three-cousin couple
Both the couple had never been in a canoe before, and since the time of year was February, they were a little apprehensive about the tour.
But the weather was fine and the guides knew the direction of the wind and the position of the trees so well that when we followed the instructor's lead, we were not hit by the wind and did not feel cold at all. The mangrove forests of the Miyara River are very beautiful, and it was a great experience to experience a new world that was completely new to us as we went upstream. I had an image that the canoe would fall off easily, but it was very stable.

I will definitely visit Pipi again when I go back to Ishigaki.
