— The Story of Haruki Izumi —

“

Right after graduating from high school, I went to Australia on a working holiday. I traveled by bike, worked on a farm, and lived in the city. It was a time when I met all kinds of people in all kinds of places.

After returning to Japan, I became interested in working as a tour guide. I had never been to Ishigaki Island before, but the idea of living there someday sparked my interest.

Since this is a once-in-a-lifetime tour for our guests, we strive to give it our all to make sure they have a great time every single time. We hope you’ll experience the joy of playing in nature.

— We Asked Haruki Izumi —

Q.What's a memorable story about a customer?

It’s when the guests in the group I’m in charge of become friends with one another, come together as one team, and we’re all able to enjoy the tour together.

Q.How do you spend your days off?

Mountains, rivers, the ocean. Basically, I spend my time in nature.

Q.What are the "must-see" highlights of your top-recommended tour?

This is a Starry Sky & Subtropical Jungle Night Tour. The starry sky over Ishigaki Island is truly amazing, so I really hope you’ll see it for yourself. We’ll only observe wildlife, and we’ll keep the use of lights to a minimum during the tour.

Q.Who is this product recommended for?

This is especially recommended for those who love animals and nature.

Noa (Original text in English / Translated by the editorial department) / Snorkeling at the Blue Grotto

Mr. Hirai is a truly wonderful snorkeling guide! He’s kind, patient, and professional, and he put us completely at ease right from the start. We had a great time with him and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. He played some beautiful local music during the trip, which really enhanced the atmosphere and made the day even more special. I highly recommend him!

Kagetora / Snorkeling at the Blue Cave

On my first trip to Ishigaki Island, I booked the “Phantom Island Landing & Snorkeling” tour! However, due to the typhoon, I received a call the day before informing me that the tour was canceled because the swells around Phantom Island were too dangerous. However, they suggested “Blue Cave Snorkeling” as an alternative, and it turned out to be the perfect choice! Thanks to the typhoon having just passed, the ocean was absolutely gorgeous! Our guide, Mr. Izumi, was incredibly nice—he kindly shared all sorts of information about recommended spots and Ishigaki Island while we were driving around! I headed straight to the gelato shop he recommended!! So good!!! Thank you so much for everything!!
