Career History I’m from Osaka Prefecture. While working in the beauty industry, I’ve been enjoying skin diving and scuba diving as hobbies for the past 10 years. During my school days, I was dedicated to judo, basketball, and cheerleading, so I’m confident in my stamina and strength. Having grown up in my hometown, which is rich in nature and surrounded by mountains, I’ve always loved plants and animals. I first visited Ishigaki Island nine years ago and fell in love with its dynamic natural beauty and the warmth of its people, which led me to move here.

― What I Value Most as a Guide ―

To help everyone fall in love with Ishigaki Island, which I love so much.
It's because I want to make this a place where people will want to come back to.

― The Story of Misaki Imanishi ―

“

While I was traveling on Ishigaki Island, someone I met there told me a lot about the island. Now I want to be the one to do the same for others. That’s why I became a tour guide.

In my school days, I practiced judo, played basketball, and was a cheerleader. I may be petite, but I’m just as strong, powerful, and determined as anyone else. I’ve been close to the ocean for as long as I can remember, and since I grew up in a nature-rich hometown surrounded by mountains, I also love plants and animals.

No matter how many times you visit Ishigaki Island, there’s always more to see and eat than you can handle. I’ll share plenty of information about the island and recommend the best ways to spend your time, making this a tour that will leave you thinking, “I want to come back.” Children love it here, too, so families with young children can rest assured. Even if it’s your first time and you’re feeling a bit nervous, rest assured—we’ll make sure your tour is safe, secure, and “a lot of fun,” so please leave it to us.

— We Asked Misaki Imanishi —

Q.What's a memorable story about a customer?

During the "Phantom Island" tour, a child visiting from overseas had a birthday, and all the passengers and staff on board sang "Happy Birthday" together.

Q.How do you spend your days off?

We're having a barbecue, spending time at the beach, and going skin diving.

Q.What are the "must-see" highlights of your top-recommended tour?

The "Phantom Island" tour is simply breathtaking! The snorkeling spots are located in the coral reefs of the Ishi-Nishi Lagoon and are absolutely beautiful. On the night tour, you’ll observe nocturnal creatures—including coconut crabs—under a star-filled sky. We guide you without touching the animals and keep the use of lights to a minimum.

Q.Who is this product recommended for?

This activity is especially recommended for those traveling with young children or anyone who is new to snorkeling and feels a bit nervous. Please note that participation may not be possible depending on your age or health condition, so please consult with us when making your reservation.

Yuki / Snorkeling at Phantom Island & Taketomi Island Sightseeing

I went on my first snorkeling and “Phantom Island” landing tour on Ishigaki Island. I was full of anxiety, but thanks to tour guide Mii-chan’s smile, all my worries and fears were put to rest. Her thoughtful and attentive care—the kind only a woman can provide—made me feel truly at ease throughout the tour. During the snorkeling, she led the way while keeping a close eye on our surroundings, and best of all, she took beautiful photos for us (pictures you just can’t capture with a smartphone). When we landed on the “Phantom Island,” the view was so breathtaking—I’ve never seen anything like it in my entire life. Next time, I definitely want to join the tour and request Mii-chan as my guide again!

Caroppy / Miyara River Mangrove Canoe Tour

Thanks to Mii-chan’s thoughtful explanations and attentive care as an experienced guide, I was able to enjoy the tour with complete peace of mind. She even took photos and videos for me. In the afternoon, we went canoeing on the Miyara River. We paddled along the river in the refreshing breeze, and she even sent me all the photo files, leaving me with wonderful memories. Thank you, Mii-chan!

Little One / Snorkeling

I was a little nervous about going snorkeling for the first time with my 8-year-old daughter, who can’t swim, but the staff member, Mii-chan, provided kind and attentive support, so we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The water was incredibly clear—it was a truly moving experience, just like swimming inside an aquarium. It became a lifelong memory for both of us. I highly recommend it!
