The tropical fish in these waters are accustomed to people and have been known to eat food from human hands, their favorite food being slices of fish sausage. Some visitors go out of their way to buy fish sausages and feed them to the fish. Be careful of waves caused by northerly winds and strong tides. It is also known as a spot where reef currents are likely to occur and water accidents sometimes occur, so snorkeling should be avoided on days when the tide is dangerous or the wind blows.

Click here for an article about sea turtles on Ishigaki Island.

Click here to read about fish in Ishigaki Island.

There are six to seven cooking and toilet buildings on the grounds, and the campground can accommodate a large number of campers, making it a fun place to visit for student or adult club activities.
